100% Distance Learning on Friday, December 4, 2020

As you are aware, Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD) schools transitioned to Distance Learning today due to the smoke from a nearby wildfire in the Santiago/Silverado Canyon area. Based on the latest information regarding the fire, which is at zero containment, and the forecast of excessive smoke and poor air quality tomorrow, students will continue with 100% distance learning on Friday, December 4, 2020. No in-person instruction will occur on campus tomorrow, December 4, 2020. School-specific information will be provided by the principal. Our school community has been heavily impacted by the smoke from the fire, due to our location and wind direction. Which explains why some cities closer to the fire may be less impacted by smoke.
