Students from Six Schools Compete in Annual VEX Robotics Competition

On May 21, approximately 40 students participated in the ’s 5th Annual Robotics Competition hosted at . Students spent countless hours inside and outside their engineering or computing (CTE) pathways and robotics clubs to build and code VEX robots. Teams of up to four students then faced off against one another in a driver competition and autonomous showcase. The teams were composed of students from , , , , and . This year’s VEX competition game, dubbed “ ,” featured two teams in each round competing to score points within a 12-foot-by-12-foot space. This experience increases students’ knowledge about mechanical engineering and programming, as well as improves their communication, collaboration, creative and critical thinking skills.
