Campaign to Raise Awareness for Career Technical Education Pathways

Dr. Brian Dozer, president of the nonprofit , which partners with Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD), is riding his bike to every high school district, community college and regional occupational program in Orange County to promote Career Technical Education (CTE). On Friday, October 22, he visited NMUSD where he was greeted by members of the District’s (CTE) team. Dr. Dozer began riding his bike several years ago to raise awareness and funds for his niece who had been diagnosed with leukemia. “It made me healthy, and, I never stopped riding,” said Dr. Dozer. He now focuses on raising awareness of the many Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways in Orange County and raises funds to provide scholarships for students. He has raised nearly $6,000 toward his $20,000 goal. Vital Link OC is sharing his progress on their . “What we do in the Career Technical Education department is life changing,” said Michael Vossen, director of college and career education for NMUSD “Students can explore numerous career pathways including engineering design, business management, film/video production, residential and commercial construction, and so much more,” said Vossen. . “We appreciate Dr. Dozer’s commitment to these programs and our students,” he said.
