College and Career Night Resources

Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD), in partnership with , presented its second Virtual College and Career Night, which attracted hundreds of participants. The Virtual College and Career Night resources will be available online throughout the school year and can be accessed on the . The event was open to all students and families who had the opportunity to engage with representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities throughout the United States and internationally. The event included career booths representing a variety of high-demand industry sectors, military, Regional Occupational Programs (ROP), and business and industry partners. Participants also had the opportunity to participate in live breakout sessions to learn more about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), SchooLinks, the new college and career readiness tool, and the free online tutoring service PAPER. “Attending college and exploring career options are two important goals for our students,” said Director of College and Career Education Michael Vossen. “Our Virtual College and Career Night event provides students with connections to help them navigate and plan their experience beyond high school,” he said.
