We want to inform you that plans to pilot the college and career readiness web-based platform, which is a component of the state’s initiative to help students and their families plan for, apply to, and pay for college. It also helps streamline the college and financial aid application process and monitor the status of college and financial aid applications. Features/Resources Benefits Career exploration tools, college and major search tools and financial aid lessons. Supports your student’s plans for life after high school. California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) eligibility tools to view progress toward meeting the “A-G” course requirements. Assists your student’s awareness of taking the right courses in high school to meet their goals after graduation. College and financial aid application integration allows your student’s verifiedcourse information to be shared directly with community colleges and CSUs. Helps those colleges make faster and better decisions about admission, placement, and financial aid. These resources are available when students’ transcript data, such as demographics, class courses, grades and GPA, are uploaded into the statewide system (in accordance with all state and federal student privacy laws). Should you wish to opt-out from the district’s disclosure of your Student Information, please complete and submit the to your child’s school’s counseling office by March 3, 2023. Opting out will remove your student’s access to transcript-informed functionality and application integration. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s counseling office.
