We hope you are enjoying a restful spring break. If you would like to provide feedback before students return to school, Newport-Mesa Unified School District has opened its annual Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Survey now. We would like you to take a short online survey. Parent/Guardian feedback is very important for our school and district planning process . Your voice matters! The survey will be available from Wednesday, April 14 through Friday, April 23. It should take no longer than 15 minutes. The survey is available at the following link: Why are we asking you to take this survey? Each school district in California must develop an annual plan, called the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). The plan describes the school district’s overall vision for students, annual goals, and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vis i on and goals. As part of the process, each school district must engage students, parents, educators, other employees and the community. During the 2019-2020 school year, the LCAP process was suspended and districts created a 2020-21 Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP). With school districts returning and reopening for the end of this school year and for the foreseeable future, the LCAP process has been reinstated. You may review all of the NMUSD LCAP and LCP documents on . If you have questions or would like to provide additional input, please send an email to
