Newport-Mesa Schools Ranked Among the Best

Several Newport-Mesa Unified School District (NMUSD) Schools were ranked as top performing schools in California by U.S. News and World Report. The elementary survey considered more than 5,500 schools in California. Impressively, ranked in the top 1.5 percent and ranked in the top 3 percent of schools statewide. Eight additional NMUSD schools ( , , , , , , , and ) also ranked in the top 15 percent of schools statewide. The rankings are determined by student proficiency in mathematics and reading/language arts; taking into account success of students in all socioeconomic demographics.
