Virtual Parent Education What Parents Need to Know About the Fentanyl Crisis January 18, 2023 | 6-7 PM Fentanyl is a potent analgesic medication sold illegally on the streets as a counterfeit pill to unsuspecting teens seeking relief from pain and anxiety. Between 2019-2021, fentanyl-related teen deaths rose 1,800% in Orange County, making it the leading cause of death for minors. Sergeant Brian Gunsolley with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department will provide parents and guardians with valuable life-saving information about the fentanyl crisis and how to reduce the risk of accidental overdose. Being aware may be the difference between life and death.
