Virtual Parent Education Suicide Prevention May 17, 2023 | 6-7:30 PM This presentation will provide an overview of suicide prevention, including the nature of suicide, related statistics and risk factors, myths, and warning signs. Attendees will learn how to assess for lethality, how to support a person in need and how to link the person to appropriate resources. Presenter: Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services First suicide prevention center in the country with a 24-hour crisis line using community volunteers. The line, part of a national crisis intervention network, provides counseling to individuals contemplating, threatening or attempting suicide.
