As we approach the second half of the school year, I would like to follow up with a few important reminders from the communication sent on . Secondary schools (including secondary Special Day Classes) will transition to 100% Distance Learning, January 4, 2021 – January 22, 2021; and will resume hybrid instruction on January 25, 2021. You should have received specific information regarding the schedule directly from your student’s school. Cloud Campus and Early College High School will remain with their current schedules Elementary schools will continue with the current hybrid instructional schedule It is especially important to continue to adhere to all the safety protocols when returning from winter break. We are all in this together and each person must do their part to slow the spread of COVID-19. Here is a reminder of these important guidelines. Adhere to the CDPH and advisories Get tested for COVID-19 if symptomatic or in close contact with an infected person Stay home if you do not feel well Stay at least 6 feet from people not in your household Avoid crowds, gatherings, and travel Wear a face covering Wash your hands often Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces We look forward to 2021 and getting through this pandemic together. As always, thanks for your support, flexibility, and understanding. Russell Lee-Sung Superintendent Newport-Mesa Unified School District
